Lourdes is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who specializes in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and went on to earn her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, where she pursued her passion for supporting others through their healing journeys.
She is dedicated to creating a space where clients feel truly seen and heard, a space that fosters safety, trust, and self-discovery. Through her work, Lourdes aims to help individuals reconnect with their inner resilience and move through both past wounds and present challenges with greater clarity and compassion. Lourdes takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-supported trauma therapy. This approach allows her to tailor care to the unique needs and goals of each client.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, to immigrant parents from Cuba and Venezuela, Lourdes is bilingual and brings a multicultural lens to her work. As a first-generation American, she has a deep understanding of the complexities of acculturation and the pressures often faced by first-generation individuals in the United States. She is especially passionate about exploring cultural identity in therapy and how it shapes an individual’s sense of self and connection to the world.
Lourdes is also deeply committed to supporting young adults in times of transition, whether they are adjusting to adulthood, exploring identity, or redefining relationships. She believes these life chapters, while often overwhelming, hold opportunities for transformation, self-trust, and healing.
In her free time, Lourdes enjoys spending time with friends and visiting family in South Florida. To unwind, she loves getting lost in a good book or her latest TV series.
