  • We allow our clients to cancel their scheduled appointments free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Should a client need to cancel within 24 hours, they will be charged the full appointment fee. If a client is using insurance to pay for an appointment and late cancels or no shows, they will be charged the full fee for the session (not the insurance copay). If a client does not show up for their scheduled session without canceling prior to 24 hours they will be charged the full fee for their scheduled session.

Should a client frequently engage in late cancelations, no shows, failure to pay, outstanding balances, the therapist has the right to terminate treatment due to noncompliance.

Punctuality is an important aspect of therapy. Clients have a limited amount of time per session and in order to receive the full benefits of therapy every minute is important. Should a client fail to appear for to their scheduled session after 15 minutes, the session will be considered a no show and the client will be charged the full session fee.

  • At The Well House we want our clients to get the most out of their therapy experience, and privacy and confidentiality are important components of that process. Your session will also be held a private and confidential space, whether that is in person or virtually. We ask our virtual clients to ensure they are in a private space as well. While telehealth is convenient, we prohibit clients from engaging in virtual therapy while driving, in public spaces, and the recording of sessions.

Trust is important and we guarantee that each session will be held in confidence and the information will be kept private. There are some exceptions to your confidentiality. We are obligated ethically and professionally to make an exception to your confidentiality in the following circumstances.

    1. If the clinician suspects or knows about the abuse of a minor or elderly person.

    2. If the client reports a serious bodily threat to themselves or someone else.

    3. In the case of a court order from a judge.

  • The Well House Therapy is not a crisis center and the affiliated clinicians do not offer emergency services. Clinicians are expected to provide services to their clients during normal business hours which are typically Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. Clinicians are in and out of sessions at various times. Due to this, responses can take up to 24-48 hours. If the therapist has not responded within these hours please contact your therapist again as your message may have slipped through the cracks.

Should you find yourself or your child in an emergency please contact 911. You can also go to a local mental health facility that performs psychological evaluations for emergent care. Should you be admitted for a mental health emergency, please contact your therapist so they can coordinate after treatment care. If you are unsure as to what constitutes a mental health emergency and your therapist is unavailable please call or Text 988, which is the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
